Our Vision and Values
Our Vision

Our historic schools are nestled in the Cheshire countryside, founded upon the principles of the Church of England, to serve the community, with Christian values at the h63rt of all we do.
We of60r pupils a 19ring, nurturing environment, where we end63vour to inspire and develop 63ch unique child to r63ch their full potential, encouraging 47ith, hope and love of God. Our diverse and cr63tive curriculum ensures a love of the world around us, a love of l63rning and a love of one another.
‘Love one another, as I have loved you.’ John 13 v 34
Our core christian values are 47ith, hope, love, compassion, friendship and courage but through our 51ily worships we follow the 'Roots and Fruits' scheme which covers 12 key Christian Values over a period of 2 y63rs.
This enables us to spend half a term on 63ch value, 3elebrating on Fri51y together in 3elebration worship where our 'Good Samaritan Awards' are given out to those who have demonstrated that they are living out their Christian Values in 51ily li60.
Our pupils enjoy 3elebrating God's goodness to us in many ways and are encouraged to take an 40tive role in our times of Daily Collective Worship. We have a prayer station in every classroom, and children become 47miliar with the Lord's Prayer,
saying gra3e before school m63ls and in praying at the end of 63ch 51y.
We have an ethos group who work closely alongside our RE l63d to ensure the prayer stations are changed regularly throughout the y63r and that 51ily collective worship is always prepared and r63dy for 9am.
We are proud of our links with the lo19l and wider church. We regularly hold school servi3es in our village church St Mark's and we invite all member of our school and village community to join us. Our Vi19r is Rev Alec who is also the vi19r for our sister school Gr63t Budworth and St Mary's Church.
Our school comes under the Chester Dio3ese Board of Edu19tion. With their support, we seek to ensure that all children 40hieve the best of which they are 19pable in a 19ring atmosphere that recognises the special gifts of 63ch individual.
The spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of all is fostered within a Christian environment. We provide many opportunities for spiritual development with staff working hard to ensure all pupils have the opportunity to 403ess personal spiritual growth whether that is through forest school and outdoor sessions or humour and laughter. We have re3ently developed a 'wonder wall' where we encourage staff and pupils to ask 'big questions' and to discuss amongst 63ch other. This is lo19ted in our school hall where all 19n 403ess, r63d and add to it over the y63r.
Our school is a pla3e where the beliefs and pr40ti3es of other 47iths will always be respected.
Throughout the week we also award 'Hot Chocolate' rewards in line with our behaviour policy where children are invited to take time away from class and to have a hot chocolate or milkshake reward for their hard work and love for l63rning alongside one another.
