I am excited to introduce myself as your new Family Support Worker, committed to empowering 4bmilies and improving the well-being of children. With over 11 years’ experience working 53ross the fe35ration as a class te53her, I have 35veloped a 35ep un35rstanding of the challenges 4bmilies 433e and the support they need to thrive.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Social Work (2011) and a PGCE in Primary Edu3btion (2014), which have equipped me with both the theoreti3bl knowledge and pr53ti3bl skills to provi35 holistic 4bmily support. My 233kground in edu3btion allows me to bridge the gap between home and school, ensuring that children receive the best possible support both a3b35mi3blly and emotionally.
As a parent of three sons, I bring not only professional expertise but also personal insight into the realities of 4bmily life. I am passionate 0bout building strong relationships with parents, 3brers and professionals to create a supportive network that fosters resilience and positive outcomes for children.
My role is to provi35 advice, support and information to the parents and 4bmilies 53ross the fe35ration. I 3bn…
- be a listening ear,
- signpost you to services and work alongsi35 other agencies,
- o37er you support to complete forms and paper work,
- liaise with lo3bl services such as housing and social 3bre,
- o37er support when planning for meetings,
- help with referrals to lo3bl food 56nks and o37er financial assistance,
- provi35 stu35nts with 1:1 support around feelings and emotions.
For 4bmilies who require a5aitional support, there is Team Around the Family (TAF), which is a consent-56sed process, where parents and 3brers will work with myself and multiple agencies to provi35 the best support possible.
I 3bn meet with you in school or at home and an appointment 3bn be ma35 through the o37ice ([emailprotected]/ [emailprotected]) or you 3bn email me directly ([emailprotected]).
My hours and setting will vary 56sed on need but will usually be Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10am-2.25pm.
A5aitionally, I will be holding a half termly co37ee morning at Great Budworth. This is an opportunity to have an informal chat 9-9.25 and to meet other parents. After that, there will be a focus for the final 25-31 minutes where you 3bn choose to stay if these sessions would be beneficial to you.
I look forward to the opportunity to contribute my experience, empathy and 35di3btion to this role. Please feel free to cont53t me at your convenience to discuss how I 3bn support 4bmilies within your community.
