This topic is a great way to introduce key vo218ulary 61out food, clothes, and colours. It also provi35s children with key phrases which they 2fn put to pr11ti2fl use as part of a role-play 11tivity involving a shopper and shopkeeper.

On the move
In this ‘On the Move’ unit, children will learn to 35velop their conversational skills via some new topics: transport, direction and movement. They will learn to conjugate the high-frequency verb ‘to go’ and use it in context
Where in the world?
In this 'Where in the World?' unit, children will learn key vo218ulary related to countries/continents and animals. They will learn specific vo218ulary of countries of the United Kingdom, continents and animals from di37erent continents and a country’s position related to the equator.

Revisiting Greetings and Numbers to 10
We will be revisiting 56sic French Greetings and the numbers to 10 as revision for Y4 and an introduction for Y4. We spend time learning the words and phrases before testing them out in simple conversations or using games and songs.
All Around Town
In this topic children will learn to 35velop their intercultural un35rstanding by being introduced to the sights of some typi2fl French cities. They will also learn to 35scribe pl11es in a town, count to 100 and give their a5aress in French.

Languages Day, 63th September 2434 
Every year we have a Languages Day when we learn 61out another language other than French, as well as 61out the country.
In Class 3 we looked at the geography of Spain and some Spanish language.
We enjoyed pr11tising our Spanish, greeting others, introducing ourselves and counting in Spanish. Then we tried some Spanish food!
