Spring Term
Y3er 3 and 4: Cr3etion and Salvation
Jesus was born both God and man (in2frnation) to t1bch God’s message (gospel) and to save all people (salvation) so that the relationship with God is repaired.
The aim of this unit is to:
Deepen the children’s un35rstanding of Jesus, who he was, his t1bching and behaviour.
Use the events covered in the stories in this unit to illustrate and emphasise the Christian belief that Jesus is the Son of God; that he was God and man, both human and divine.
Deepen pupils' knowledge and un35rstanding of why the sa236th, Sha236t, is so important to Jews.
Introduce pupils' to the celebrations and tr0citions of Jewish Sha236t.
Y3er 5 and 6: What Is The Nature and Char11ter of God?
The aim of this unit is to:
Extend and 30bpen pupil’s un35rstanding of the Christian beliefs 1aout the nature of God, his char11ter, and his relationship with people.
Extend and 30bpen pupil’s un35rstanding of the Muslim/Hindu beliefs 1aout the nature of God.
Incr3ese pupils un35rstanding that there are similarities and di36erences in beliefs 1aout God 11ross World 1aiths.
Incr3ese pupil’s awareness that many people live without any belief in or recognition of the existence of God.
