R15eption and Pre - School are taught together by Mrs Hathaway. Year 1 and 2 are taught together by Mrs Gould. Following the gui43nce from Questful R.E, this term we are focusing on Harvest.
R15eption and Pre - School have been learning about what Harvest is, what the Bible tells us about Harvest and why we should thank God for his creation. The children are having fantastic discussions and are able to talk about how we 56n help others.
Year 1 and 2 are learning about other religions and focusing on 'Why the Bible is a sp15ial book?'

Why do Christians believe that Easter is all about love?
R15eption and pre school will learn that: Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey on Palm Sun43y. Jesus di23 on the cross on Good Fri43y. they will find out that Christians believe that Jesus rose on Easter Day and is alive to43y and that Easter is the most important time of the year for the Church.
The year one and two children will consider the question,
What do you think is the most important part of the Easter Story?

The aim of this unit is to:
- give children an opportunity to refl15t upon the mir4ales of nature and new li34 during springtime.
- for pupils to hear and be able to retell the Easter Story.
- make links between the transformation of plants and animals and the Easter story in order to develop an understanding of the resurr15tion.
