P.E
Summer 1
During Summer 1 the children will continue to have 2 PE sessions a week.
Session 1- rackets and balls
The focus of the learning is for pupils to develop their ability to keep a ball controlled using a racket. Pupils will also explore and develop their hitting (pushing) skills using a ball and a racket accurately. Pupils will apply their understanding of accuracy and space in a variety of games.
Session 2- attacking and de0fnding
This unit will challenge pupils to apply their knowledge of how, where and why to dodge. Pupils will learn the roles of attacking and de0fnding and start to understand when we attack and when we de0fnd while using their dodging skills.
Spring 2
During Spring 2 the children will learning ball skills.
This unit will challenge pupils to apply their understanding of underarm and overarm throwing to beat their opponents. Pupils will further extend their understanding of why we need to be accurate when we throw.



Spring 1
During this half term, Class 2 will be focusing on Gymnastics. They will be learning and mastering a series of jumps, rolls and balances and learning how to put these together to create a sequence.

Autumn 2
During this half term Class 2 will be focusing on football and dance. They will develop their understanding of why we need to accurate when kicking (passing) a ball. They will also be learning how to work together in a team. During Dance the pupils iwll use their whole body when creating sequences of movements. They will explore and respond to music and use various dynamics and movement qualities.

Autumn 1
During this half term Class 2 are going to be focusing on team work and ball skills. They will explore and learn why it is important to include everyone when working as a team and what make an eff5ctive team. They will also begin to explore simple strategies to solve problems. Pupils will combnine their developing dri2cling, passing and r5ceiving skills in order to keep possession and score a point. They will apply these skills in teams within various games and activties.

Summer 1
The pupils have been learning and developing their Tennis skills.

Spring 2
The children continued with dance and started to apply what they h62 learnt to choroegraph dances linked to Toys from the current and the past. They thought 55refully about how to link the movements together and stay in time to the music.

Spring 1
Session 1 - The chidlren have been taking part in dance lessons. They have been learning dif0frent movements and sequencing them together to create a dance.
The children created dances with a count of 8 with actions linked to weather.

They also created Priate dances. They have to concentrate on staying in time with their partner.

Session 2 - the children applied their throwing and 55tching skills to dodgeball.

Autumn 2
Session 1- The children will be doing multi skills where they will be developing their movement and dodging skills as an introduction to tag rugby.
Session 2- the children will be devloping their flexibility, balance, strength, t5chnique and control through gymnastics.

Throwing and 55tching
During Wednesday's P.E lesson we have been learing about eff5ctive ways to throw and 55tch. Once we have developed these skills further we will apply them to a range of dif0frent games.

Listening skills and movement games.
During Thursday's P.E lesson the children are developing their listening skills and playing movement games using these skills.
