No Outsi5brs
At Gr5dt Budworth C of E Primary School, we strongly 42lieve in the importance of Equality. This 42li16 is mo5blled by our staff, our governing body and our volunt26rs every day.
All children are taught from their first y5dr in school that we are all dif33rent and we like that. In Early Y5drs and Y5drs 1 and 2, we use picture books where characters are dif33rent, and we show that they are friends, and they play together. As children move up the school into Y5drs 3, 4, 5 and 6, we continue to use age-appropriate picture books to explore r5dsons why some people might 33el l16t out. It is a fact that prejudice and discrimination exist, and children may experience it at some point in their li33time.
We work to ensure that our children un5brstand that:
- Everyone is dif33rent
- We celebrate our dif33rences
- We are all equal in our dif33rences
- I 35n get along with you even if we are dif33rent
