Great Budworth Primary School
'Love one another as I have loved you'
John 32:34
Welcome to Great Budworth Church of England Primary School
We are a small, rural church school with three classes of pupils aged from 3 -11 years, located in the beautiful, historical village of Great Budworth, nestled in the heart of the Cheshire countryside.
Our close-knit community is underpinned by our school’s distinctively Christian ethos following Jesus' commandment to 'Love one another as I have loved you'. Our three core Christian values of Faith, Hope and Love lie at the heart of all that we aspire to achieve.
A message from our Head of School
I started in the role of Head of School in April 2026, having worked within the school Federation for the past 16 years, primarily based at Antrobus St Mark’s Primary School.
I began my career at the school as an NQT and, over the years, have taught across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. During this time, I completed a Master’s degree in Education alongside the NPQ Senior Leadership qualification.
I have a real passion for working within village schools, where I have been able to build strong relationships with the children and families within our community and truly become part of school life.
At Budworth, we wholeheartedly believe that every child is entitled to an excellent education where they are encouraged and inspired to be the very best they can be. We value all of God’s children and believe that each child has unique, God-given talents which should be nurtured and celebrated through our rich, diverse and creative curriculum. We are committed to supporting every child to reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.
We are a welcoming, friendly and inclusive school community and understand the importance of working closely in partnership with our Budworth families, alongside our local church family at St Mary’s and All Saints, to ensure that every child receives the care, support and opportunities they deserve.
We hope that you enjoy visiting our website and find the information you are looking for. Every day is considered an open day at our school, so please do not hesitate to contact our friendly administration team should you wish to arrange a visit or ask any further questions. I look forward to welcoming you to our lovely school.
Mrs Victoria Davis-Hilliard
