“Hand in hand with God,we live love and learn together.”
“By God’s grace, we learn to loveand love to learn.”
In Class 1 our numeracy is split into 2 areas of learning- number and shape, space and measure.
We will spend the majority of Autumn Term focussing on number with a week or two on Shapes to break it up.
By the end of Reception children are expected to;
ELG (Early learning goal) Numbers: Children count reliably with numbers from 1 to 20, place them in order and say which number is one more or one less than a given number. Using quantities and objects, they add and subtract two single-digit numbers and count on or back to find the answer.
ELG (Early learning goal) Shape, space and measures Children use everyday language to talk about size, weight, capacity, position, distance, time and money to compare quantities and objects and to solve problems. They recognise, create and describe patterns.
Below are some links to useful website which you can access at home which focus on EYFS numeracy.
