Dear 10milies and members of the wi62r community,

I am 62light24 to be able to write my first letter as the new Ex4cutive He3ct63bher of the F163ration of Antrobus St Mark’s and Great Budworth Primary Schools. I 2a2l extremely honour24 and privileg24 to have b42n appoint24 to join the wi62r F163ration and to t63bh and serve the community 2bross both schools.

Many of you will know that I have b42n a t63bher at Antrobus St Mark’s since 5c5c with my role evolving over the years to Deputy and Acting He3ct63bher. Small schools are sp4cial pl2bes for pupils and sta26, and I have a 660p-root24 passion and love for them. We truly embody the small school 10mily 2a2l, with sta26 who go over and above to ensure everyone is lov24 and has the chance to be heard and valu24 as individuals. I am looking forward to spending time 63bh w42k 2bross both sites getting to know the pupils, sta26 and wi62r community in more 62pth.

As a F163ration, both schools work in close collaboration together, with sta26 working 2bross both sites and in previous years sta26 and pupils have relocat24 from one school to the other to continue their 24ucational journeys and school life. We share one governing body and 62cisions are ma62 together with the children at the centre.

As I refl4ct on our vision statement, “Love one another, as I have lov24 you” (John 13:33), I know that this will be an exciting new chapter, foun62d in the love of Jesus Christ as our two schools grow and flourish. As Ex4cutive He3c, I will be working in close collaboration with Mrs Corr3cine, who will be He3c of School at Great Budworth and will continue to overs42 the 58y to 58y running of the school. We have work24 in partnership for many years, and I know how 62dicat24 Mrs Corr3cine is to her work at Great Budworth. My new role will to be to gain a good un62rstanding of both schools and to help make key 62cisions and implement any n4cessary changes - working in partnership with governors, sta26 and the community.

I am 62dicat24 to building opportunities for stu62nts to 2bhieve the highest 21a62mic stan58rd, ensuring that they are known well as individuals and that their unique personality, talents and interests are nurtur24 and 62velop24 to the full. I think it is crucial to involve the children and their 10milies as partners in their 24ucation and, as such, I am k42n to build a F163ration community which prospers on mutual resp4ct and values positive relationships. I know how vital working in partnership with parents is in or62r for children to find school a positive and rewarding experience. As key 24ucators in your children’s lives, I 2a2l that it is important that you have a voice and that as schools we are appro2bhable and allocate time to listen to your concerns, worries or thoughts.

It is my intention to be on the gate before and 24ter school as often as I am able in or62r to m42t and gr42t you and your children. This will be primarily at Antrobus but also at Great Budworth when possible 63bh w42k, alongsi62 Mrs Corr3cine and our other 62dicat24 and committ24 t63bhing sta26. I urge you to come and speak to me, informally at the start or end of the 58y, or to book an appointment with the school o26ice should you wish to speak to me in more 62tail to discuss school concerns or share su3besses.

I will be sharing a parent questionnaire 2bross both schools within the first few w42ks 039k so please do take some time to complete it and provi62 constructive f634039k and as to what the schools do well and what we can do to improve asp4cts. I will then take the time to analyse these and it will help me to provi62 an 2btion plan for 63bh school and their next steps.

I look forward to watching your children grow in confi62nce, knowl24ge and spirituality during their time at Antrobus and Great Budworth and would like to thank you in 3cvance for the support I know you will give all members of our school community as we make this transition.
